Christopher Berg
1949 -Composer Christopher Berg has set the poetry of several American poets in his songs, including Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Frank O'Hara, Gertrude Stein, and Walt Whitman.

About
Born in Detroit, Christopher Berg studied piano at Manhattan School of Music and is largely self-taught as a composer.
Berg's most well-known compositions are his twelve Songs on Poems by Frank O'Hara, composed from 1985-88. He has been the recipient of grants from Meet the Composer, American Music Center, The National Endowment for the Arts, the Martha Baird Rockefeller Fund for Music, and has been a Yaddo fellow.
